Free events for final Potter book The Calabasas Library is presenting the following events for the release of the last book of the Harry Potter series. All of these programs are free and no tickets are required. +Magician Tony Daniels will perform his magic show for all ages at 11 a.m. Fri., July 6. Due to space limitations, no strollers are allowed. +A special event for teens ages 12 and up will take place from noon to 5 p.m., Sat., July 7. From noon to 2 p.m., teens can decorate cookies to look like their favorite Harry Potter characters. At 2 p.m., the movie "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire," rated PG-13, will be shown. Refreshments will be served and there will be drawings for prizes for the Friends of the Library fundraiser. +Children ages 5 and up can make Harry Potterinspired crafts from 4 to 7 p.m. Thurs., July 12. They can make a wizard hat, a scary spider, a Monster Book of Monsters book cover, pretzel wands and more. Refreshments will be provided. +A book release party for "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sat., July 21. Come for refreshments, reading, and discussing all things Potter. Costumes are welcome. There will be drawings for prizes for the Friends of the Library fundraiser. This program is for all ages.
