Songwriter/singer comes to Concerts at the Bodie House

Concerts at the Bodie House will present musician Jimmy LaFave at 6 p.m. Sun., June 24 at a private home in Agoura Hills.

A $20 donation is requested, with all proceeds going to the musician. A dessert/appetizer bar is provided free of charge.

In 1992 LaFave released a selfproduced CD, "Austin Skyline," which drew international attention to his songwriting and vocal talents and led to a publishing agreement with Polygram Music. His next albums were "Highway Trance" in 1994 and "Buffalo Return to the Plains" in 1995.

LaFave was asked to tape a performance for the PBS musical series "Austin City Limits" in 1996. The Austin Music Awards named LaFave "Best Singer-Songwriter." His latest CD is "Blue Nightfall." LaFave has toured extensively in the United States and Europe.
