Synagogue celebrates Sabbath

Temple Aliya, as part of its Every Third Shabbat series, will present an original bluegrass/ country Sabbath worship service at 8:15 p.m. tomorrow, Fri., June 15, at the synagogue, 6025 Valley Circle Blvd., Woodland Hills.

Featured are Hazzan Mike Stein and Rabbi Steward Vogel with a bluegrass band of Rodger Phillips on guitar and banjo, Fred Sokolow on dobro/mandolin, Jared Stein on fiddle, Justin Stein on bass and Jeffrey Silverman on piano.
