Topanga blues fest offers music all day long

Gates will open for the 25th annual Topanga Canyon Blues and Heritage Festival at 9 a.m. Sat., June 16 at the Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum, 1419 Topanga Canyon Blvd.

Activities for families and children include a harmonica workshop and face painting. Food will be available, as well as a beer garden.

The entertainment will start at 10 a.m. Performers are Donnie "V," the Teddy Lee Hooker Band, Ozzie Blues Band, the Catherine Denise Band and the Mannish Boys Blues Revue.

Tickets may be bought in advance for $20 and picked up on the day of the festival. Price at the door is $24, cash only. Children under 12 years old will be admitted free.

Handicap parking is available. There will be no lawn chairs, coolers, outside alcohol or pets permitted.
