Rick Kalish

Rick Kalish, longtime Agoura Hills resident, passed away Memorial Day, May 28th. Rick grew up in the San Fernando Valley. In 1971 he met Ronda Richardson, the love of his life. They married in 1975 and moved to Agoura where their daughter Bree was born in 1977 and son, Brett, followed in 1984.

Rick was a general contractor, owning and running his own businesses, K-West and Kalcon General Engineering. He was also a member of SCCA for 30 plus years, serving on their Board of Directors along with being a trustee for the International Laborers Union.

Rick's life always centered around his family, friends, traveling and enjoying life. His house was always the center of entertaining. He loved to B-B-Q (all four of his bar-b-ques) with his favorite music playing in the background. Along with his other interests, camping was his favorite followed by the latest and greatest electronic gadgets available on the block - not to mention his appreciation of fine wines.

One of Rick's proudest moments was walking his daughter, Bree, down the aisle this past October. He was blessed again in April with the news of becoming a Grandpa this coming December. Rick led a full, rich, loving, bountiful 57 years and was cherished and loved by all.
