Republicans to host mixer

There will be a Republican Party mixer from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Wed., June 27 in the Jefferson/ Roosevelt rooms at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, 40 Presidential Drive, Simi Valley.

The speaker will be Dan Schnur, the founding partner of Command Focus. A political and media strategist, he has worked on four presidential and four gubernatorial campaigns.

Items will be collected to send to troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. Suggested donations include small stuffed animals, canned food, hard candy, boxed snacks, magazines, batteries, sunscreen, lotion, socks, pens, music CDs, DVDs and phone cards.

Admission is $25 per person and paid reservations must be made in advance. There will be refreshments and a raffle.
