Roundtable set

The Malibu Small Business Roundtable will present a workshop from noon to 2 p.m. Thurs., June 14 at the Malibu Performing Arts Center, 23825 Stuart Ranch Road.

The cost is $20 per person. Reservations are required by Tues., June 12.

The working lunch will offer tools and ideas to help business owners and staff support their business. Industry experts will give pointers in sales, web design, advertising, media connection, human resources and business finance.

New leaders

The Calabasas Chapter of Leads Club has announced the selection of new officers. The new team heads a group of local business owners and sales people who meet weekly to exchange business leads.

Jo Anne Catran with Nova Travel Services will serve as director; Ria Skernick of R&D Photography will be the new assistant director, and Jenny Boyce of Design Elements will serve as recorder.

The club meets at 7:15 a.m. Wednesdays at Weiler's Deli, 22323 Sherman Way, Canoga Park.

Better to hear with

Hearing Aids Etc. in West Hills offers an improvement over older digital or analog hearing aids with a technology called integrated signal processing.

The first hearing aid to use this technology is called Inteo. Among its features is the audibility extender, which moves high-pitched sounds to a lower pitch, extending the range of sounds that can be heard.

Know the SCORE

The Calabasas Chamber of Commerce has announced that Bill White of the Service Core of Retired Executives, SCORE, is available for business counseling at the Chamber office.

White will meet with Chamber members who wish to improve their entrpreneurial skills on Wednesdays from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. The service is free for members.

White had a successful career in the insurance industry and owned his own business. He's now active with SCORE and conducts monthly workshops on creating business plans.
