Viewpoint baseball team to play for CIF championship

PITCHER PERFECT- Josh Dver of Viewpoint School throws a strike during last Friday's CIF-Southern Section Division VII quarterfinals game against Packinghouse Christian. Viewpoint won 18-3. In the semifinals on Tuesday in Walnut, Dver led the Patriots to a 2-1 victory over Southlands Christian. Viewpoint (22-4) will play Upland Christian (20-7) on Saturday at UC Riverside in the Division VII championship game. First pitch is set for 11 a.m. The Patriots have never won a CIF baseball title.
