Declining enrollment to be discussed in Oak Park

The Oak Park Schools Community Group will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thurs., June 7 at the After-School Club building in Mae Boyar Park, 139 N. Kanan Road.

Oak Park Unified School District Superintendent Tony Knight and Assistant Superintendent Martin Klauss will give a presentation on the effects of declining enrollment on the school district.

The presentation includes enrollment projections for the next 10 years under two different scenarios. One scenario assumes the district continues the current policy of accepting students on permits from other school districts; the other assumes outofdistrict students would no longer be accepted. The presentation also includes the projected fiscal impact under both scenarios.
