Bruno to be missed

It is with great sadness that we read about Mr. Jim Bruno's decision not to run for City Council. No matter what side of the issues we stand on, we must agree that hundreds, if not thousands, of hours of his time were spent working toward matters relating to our city. I am sure that this effort took precious time away from his personal business and family in order to serve our community.

Since, based upon the interest shown in the last election for City Council members, there seems to be a shortage of generous, altruistic and committed people among us, it is our duty to publicly thank one that embodies these virtues.

How wonderful it would have seen to see Mr. Bruno enjoy his last year as mayor of Westlake Village. Thank you, Mr. Bruno. You have made a difference and made lifelong friends.
