Oaks Christian boys' volleyball team wins third consecutive CIF-SS title

      Having been dealt the day's first match Saturday at Cerritos College, the Oaks Christian boys' volleyball team had to wake up bright and early for breakfast before its title tilt against Mayfair High. That meal must have included Wheaties, since it is the breakfast of champions.

      Whoever coined the phrase "Nobody is perfect" must not have seen the boys' volleyball team at Viewpoint School this season. Viewpoint was unblemished during the playoffs, winning all 12 of its games en route to a third straight CIFSouthern Section Division V championship.

Viewpoint baseball team to play for CIF championship
      PITCHER PERFECT- Josh Dver of Viewpoint School throws a strike during last Friday's CIF-Southern Section Division VII quarterfinals game against Packinghouse Christian. Viewpoint won 18-3. In the semifinals on Tuesday in Walnut, Dver led the Patriots to a 2-1 victory over Southlands Christian.
