Eagles moving on; OCHS done

Sophomore pitcher Julia Rice struck out 19 batters and had the game-winning RBI in the bottom of the 11th inning as the Oak Park High softball team defeated Santa Monica, 2-1, in the second round of the CIFSouthern Section Division III playoffs Tuesday afternoon at Valley View Park.

The Eagles now advance to today's quarterfinal game at Beckman High in Irvine.

Oaks Christian, the top seed in Division III, was upset by California High, 3-2, on the road.
