Real Estate Brokerage Posts Strong Earnings

Aviara Real Estate announced today that, despite a weaker market, the young real estate brokerage has posted strong earnings for the first quarter of 2007.

"We are excited that the risk taken by eight pioneering shareholder agents has paid off. Aviara is profitable, realizing strong growth and becoming a force in Conejo Valley real estate," said Joel Sanders, Aviara chair. Aviara was started less than three years ago by 11 agent/owners, all of whom were top agents in the Conejo Valley. Presently, the firm has grown to 26 partners managing an additional 89 licensed agents. Aviara sales are now comparable to many nationally based firms in the area, some that are four times Aviara's size.

Currently, Aviara has more than 100 land, residential and lease listings within the Conejo and surrounding areas. "The whole concept when starting Aviara was to combine top career agents with high ethical standards and blend them into one strong, agentowned firm. We've accomplished that," Sanders said, "and we are looking forward to filling our final partner positions and remaining agent openings by the end of this year."

Aviara credits its success to the careful selection of its agents, who are focused on client service and community involvement. The Conejo Valley has already benefited from Aviara's financial strength. Aviara recently donated the $15,000 necessary to maintain the traditional Conejo Valley Days parade, which was to be scrapped this year due to a lack of funds. According to Sanders, "We just couldn't let the parade die. It's a part of the culture of the Conejo Valley, something our kids and grandkids should share in. This community has supported us and made Aviara a success. This was just one way in which we could give back."

Aviara will celebrate its third anniversary this summer. "The hardest work is now behind us. From here forward, Aviara will only continue to get stronger and have an even greater presence within the Conejo Valley," Sanders said.
