Fiddle fest attracts folks from near and far

MUSIC IN THE AIR- Above, Sueannah Nicholas of Huntington Beach leads a group of musicians at the Topanga Banjo-Fiddle Contest and Folk Festival at Paramount Ranch on Sunday. Below, Jean Pellerin of Montreal, Canada, improvises a tune. The one-day event attracted folk aficionados from many places. In addition to organized competitions on four stages, musicans gather throughout the old western town setting to jam on a variety of stringed instruments.
