The library presents the following activities during May:
+Cooking Light and Easy with Zel and Reuben Allen will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sat., May 19. This is a demonstration on how to prepare low-fat, high-fiber dishes based on fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, seeds and nuts.
+A new version of "The Three Little Pigs" will be presented by We Love Fairy Tales at 4 p.m. Tues., May 22.
+A book club for children ages 9 through 11 will begin at 3:45 p.m. Wed., May 23. The group will pick a book to read and discuss at the June meeting.
+Story times for children will be Tuesdays for preschoolers and Wednesdays for toddlers at 11 a.m. from May 15 to June 12.
+May is Asian Pacific Heritage Month. To honor the month, the Agoura Hills Library has a display of handmade artifacts of Chinese daily life in the Friends' display case in the reading room. The display includes a barber's stool, china tea set, jewelry, lunch boxes, sniffing bottles and crystal. The artifacts were donated by Ying-Ying Wu and the Chinese community.
+The Book Cellar is open Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Used books, CDs, DVDs, audio books, magazines and video tapes are available. Donations are welcome.
