Lions' golf team fends off WHS

Sometimes in golf, one shot does make all the difference.

On Monday at Soule Park Golf Course in Ojai, the Oaks Christian boys' golf team edged out Westlake, 380 to 381, to capture second place in the CIF-Southern Section Northern Team Divisional.

Royal High won the 19-team tournament with a 373.

Both Royal and OCHS advanced to the CIF Team Finals today at Mission Lakes Country Club in Desert Hot Springs.

Oaks' Michael Casca fired a 69 to lead the Lions. Josh Ziska (71), Miles Thorson (78), Neal Prosser (79) and Zack West (83) rounded out the scorecard for OCHS.

Westlake received solid contributions from Brandon Hagy (72), Jason Rosenkranz (73), Chris Doyle (74), Cole Seeger (77) and Scott Patterson (85).

Agoura posted a 392, earning 10th-place honors, and Oak Park came in 12th after shooting a 397.
