Hebrew High welcomes new teacher

Dr. Orit Ziv has been named as the new head of the Hebrew language department at the Conejo Hebrew High.

Current and prospective parents may meet Ziv and other school faculty and learn about the accredited language program, at an open house from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Mon., May 14 at the school, 30345 Canwood St., Agoura Hills.

Ziv has had extensive training in both Hebrew language acquisition and educational methodologies in both the U.S. and Israel. Her appointment comes at a time when the school is in the process of expanding its language program to accommodate the increase in enrollment.

According to Rabbi Yitzchak Sapochkinsky, director of the school, "Dr. Ziv's wealth of knowledge and more than 20 years of expertise and experience will be a very valuable asset to our after-school, accredited program."

The school currently offers Monday and Wednesday classes and is planning additional classes for fall.
