Ewing & Associates Sotheby's InternationaRealty Going Green

Roger Ewing, president of Ewing & Associates Sotheby's International Realty, announced last month that his company will take steps to go completely green.

This project includes a gogreen initiative to increase their post consumer recycling use from 10 percent to 30 percent. From environmentally friendly printers, paper and open house signs to biodegradable coffee cups, management is taking steps to ensure an environmentally friendly company.

"I am doing this because it is the right thing to do. Hopefully our industry will take notice and follow suit," said Ewing. The green initiative also includes new policy manuals, as well as training their 110 agents as ecoagents teaching them how to make their properties environmentally safe. The agent training includes steps that can be taken to safeguard and protect the environment with every transaction.

According to Ewing, the idea behind the initiative is to set a good example in the hopes that it will inspire others to do the right thing for the planet.
