Stage Door Theatre mounts benefit performance

TICKETS FOR THE TROOPS- Stage Door Theatre owner Gale Trumbeaux, left, presents a donation to Sherri Alabala, area manager of Operation Interdependence, following a benefit performance of "Having a Wonderful Time, Wish You Were Her," at the Agoura Hills theater.
Last month, the Stage Door Theatre in Agoura Hills staged a benefit performance of "Having a Wonderful Time, Wish You Were Her." Proceeds were given to Operation Interdependence, a civilian-to-military delivery system that supplies donated items to troops overseas.

Ticket sales for the Sunday matinee, plus additional donations from Stage Door patrons, totaled $1,527.

Later that evening, the teen class of the Agoura Children's Theatre staged an improv show which brought in an additional $210. Ellen Marano and Susan Elton operate the program and said the teenagers also included personal notes, which will be included in the packages.

Refreshments were donated by Rosies BBQ & Grillery of Northridge and Valencia. Diane Le Moine provided a variety of desserts.
