Hospice to host golf tournament The 21st annual Hospice of The Conejo/Robert S. Haaland Golf Tournament is scheduled for Mon., May 21, at the Sunset Hills Country Club, 4155 Erbes Road North, Thousand Oaks. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. along with the putting contest and barbecue lunch, followed by the shotgun start at 1 p.m. Golfers may participate in men's and women's longest drive and closest-to-the-pin contests, and a hole-in-one prize. A mini clinic will be provided by Vincent "The Pasta Man" Ciurluini at the 11th hole for each passing foursome. Entry fee is $175, which includes green fees, cart, lunch, dinner, putting contest and tee prizes. Proceeds support Hospice of The Conejo programs, all of which are provided to end-of-life patients and their families free of charge. Sponsorships are available at $150 to sponsor a tee, $500 for a major sponsor and $2,500 for a principal sponsor, which includes a foursome. Returning this year as title sponsors are Lynne and Ron Haaland who back this fundraiser in honor of their late father and longtime Hospice supporter and community leader, Bob Haaland, who had served as a volunteer, board president, director, director emeritus and founder of the Haaland Endowment Fund.
