Keep Oak Park beautiful

The fourth annual Beautification Day in Oak Park will be from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Sat., May 5 at Oak Park High School, 899 N. Kanan Road.

Recycling bins for electronic waste, yard waste, and metal and wood products will be in the Oak Park High School parking lot. Household batteries can also be dropped off at the event. Electronic waste, including computers, monitors, VCRs, printers, cellphones, TVs, fax machines, and CD or cassette players, can be recycled.

No hazardous waste, tires, car batteries, refrigerators or palm fronds will be accepted.

Initiated by Ventura County Supervisor Linda Parks in 2004, the Oak Park Beautification Day is made possible by the collaboration of several agencies.
