Special ed advisory meeting

The Special Education Advisory Committee of Oak Park Unified School District will hold its general meeting at 6:30 p.m. and a special presentation on autism from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Mon., May 14 at Oak Park Library, 899 N. Kanan Road, Oak Park.

Michelle E. Coulter, director of programs and services for STAR (Support and Treatment for Autism and Related Disorders), will offer tips on how to help children develop functional skills and resolve problem behaviors while promoting independence at home, school and in the community.
