Dinner dance, auction to benefit Calabasas High

Calabasas High School's music program will get a boost from the proceeds of a dinner, dance and auction scheduled at The Canyon in Agoura Hills. The April 29 event will feature dinner, dancing and a silent auction. "Our silent auction consists of fabulous items, (including) weekend getaways, Wicked tickets, jewelry, golf packages and golf clubs, celebrity autographed pictures, unique gift baskets, and much more," said Lori Weiss, an event organizer.

Calabasas High School's Jazz Band, Choral and Wind Ensemble students will perform at the event. Also performing are local musicians, Steve Carr, Bob Faust, Tim Stafford, Aaron Kohen, Henry Newmark, Matt Finders, john Whinnery, and David Paich. All proceeds will benefit the school's music program, said Lori Weiss, a parent and event organizer. Tickets cost $65 for adults and $50 for students. The event starts at 5 p.m. at The Canyon, located at 28912 Roadside Drive in Agoura Hills. For tickets or further information call Sherri Schreiber at (818) 222-0271 or send an e-mail to chsmusicboosters@charter.net.
