Chicken soup workshop slated

The Conejo Jewish Academy will host a workshop on "Bubbie's Chicken Soup" at 8 p.m. Wed., May 2 at 30345 Canwood St., Agoura Hills.

Shmuly Marcus, also known as the Jewish Emeril, will demonstrate how to cook Grandma's chicken soup and the perfect matzo ball. He will also discuss the connection between the Sabbath and chicken soup, the role of the Bubbie in Jewish life and the best chicken soup recipes.

Participants will be treated to a bowl of hot chicken soup with noodles, croutons and matzo balls.
