Westlake Women's Club casino night to raise funds for charity

The Westlake Village Junior Women's Club will host its second annual Casino Night and Silent Auction gala fundraiser Fri., May 18 at Sherwood Country Club, 320 W. Stafford Road, Thousand Oaks.

The evening will begin at 6:30 p.m. with cocktails and tray-passed hors d'oeuvres prepared by Sherwood's executive chef Alberto Vazquez, followed by the Texas Hold'em poker tournament and a three-course dinner at 7:30 p.m.

Guests will have the opportunity to wager on games such as craps, blackjack, pai gow and let it ride.

The Texas Hold'em tournament is open to 50 players for a chance to win the grand prize of either a 50-inch plasma television or 71inch highdefinition television, a package worth more than $5,000.

Silent auction items include spa treatments, weekend getaways, dinners at local restaurants, rounds of golf at local clubs and celebrity memorabilia.

Tickets are $125 per person and include dinner and $1,000 in funny money for games. Poker tournament entry is $150 per person, and players receive $1,000 in poker chips.
