Contractor scholarships available

Students pursuing a career in construction are encouraged to apply for scholarships which will be awarded by Ventura County Contractors Association. Deadline to apply is Mon., April 30.

More than $10,000 in academic scholarships will be awarded. Applicants must be or have been enrolled in a TriCounty area high school, college or accredited constructionrelated trade school or apprenticetraining program in 2006.

Applications are available at the association office, 1830 Lockwood St., Ste. 110, Oxnard.

Winners will be announced and recognized at an awards dinner Wed., May 23.
