Time to put election to rest

In response to Toby Keeler's letter of April 5, I am writing this not as a member of a mysterious Calabasas political "insiders club" to which he refers, but as a resident who does their homework and research before casting a vote in any election.

Go to the Calabasas website/ archive of Nov. 29, 2001 and read the planning commission's vote on the Shea Homes development. Mr. Keeler did cast the deciding vote in favor just as the development is today.

Next, go to the council meetings archives and watch the Calabasas City Council vote in favor of putting the Malibu Valley Inn on the ballot. Councilman Groveman never supported the Malibu Valley Inn. He supported letting the voters decide and voted accordingly.

Mr. Keeler should put his losing, divisive campaign to rest. Maybe all the energy still being used to criticize our elected officials could be put to better use by volunteering for something constructive that would benefit our city instead of dividing it. Jeff Silver Calabasas
