Make a 'date' with The Acorn

The Acorn invites community members to submit brief blurbs for free inclusion in our weekly Datebook calendar.

Datebook is devoted to announcements of local events that are offered free of charge to the public or require a minimal fee; exceptions are made.

The types of items we welcome would include club meeting notices, garage/bake sales which benefit a worthy cause, service club activities, library events, nonprofit musical and theatrical productions, nature walks, festivals, holiday events, and schoolrelated events such as plays, concerts or fundraising events.

Listings must be submitted typewritten and include: event and date, time, address, fee if any and a telephone number so readers can call for more details.

Submit to the attention of Datebook Editor at the address on page 4A at least two weeks prior to the event date.

Datebook is not the appropriate venue for health or faithrelated announcements such as blood drives or religious services.
