Thanks for supporting law enforcement

I would just like to extend a very sincere "thank you" to Mr. Paul Scrivano for his letter in the March 29 Acorn in support of the sheriff's deputies and police officers who protect our local communities.

My son is a motorcycle deputy at the Lost Hills Station, and it was, of course, so very heartbreaking to hear of the injuries sustained during the past few months by two of his buddies, Jim Mulay and Mike Ranes, the deputies Mr. Scrivano mentioned in his letter.

Knowing there are people out there like Mr. Scrivano who are aware of the dedication of these officers and the risks they take every day doesn't make me worry any less as a mom, but it sure is good to know the officers are appreciated. Brenda L. Young Thousand Oaks
