Walk tall, walk for MS

I am a 37-year-old Oak Park resident living with MS since December 1999. MS has also tragically taken the life of my father, Alan Portnoy, of Westlake Village this past January 23. He was diagnosed in May 2000; he was 63.

The MS Walk will be taking place this April 14 in Santa Barbara, when my family and friends will be walking on behalf of me, my father and the thousands of others affected by this unpredictable disease. We are walking in honor of my late father as "Team Dad."

As I know there are many others in our community alone that are also fighting, I would like to encourage those interested to log onto www.msevents.com and make a pledge/donation and/or join "Team Dad" in the hopes of finding a cure for MS sooner rather than later.
