Mental health program offered

The Conejo Valley Mental Health Professionals Association has created a new "Meet and Greet" program for people interested in mental health issues.

Member Judy Wiener, LCSW, LMFT, said the meetings will provide people with an opportunity to learn from mental health professionals, who will share their expertise on a variety of related topics.

Programs will also help people find the appropriate services and resources within their community.

The lunchtime programs will usually be scheduled on the first Friday of each month from noon to 1 p.m. at the offices of the Teen Scene Outpatient Program, 30343 Canwood St., Ste. 208A in Agoura Hills.

Howard Levitt, a licensed marriage and family therapist, will kick off the series with a discussion of "Marketing Your Practice" and "Divorce Mediation." The lunchtime meeting is scheduled for noon Fri., April 6.

Wiener said each of the programs will feature a short presentation followed by informal discussions and networking. She said participants are welcome to bring their lunch to the meeting.
