Residents are invited to participate in any of the following volunteer opportunities in the area. For more information or to sign up, call the phone number listed for the event.

+A sixweek docent training program begins at the Malibu Lagoon Museum (Adamson House) at Surfrider Beach, Tues., April 3 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. There is a $40 fee for course materials and museum membership. Trainees will learn about Malibu's history and Adamson House with its rare Malibu tiles.

Docents give tours of the museum and house, garden, Malibu Lagoon, children's tours, evening tours and tours at weddings held on the premises. Special programs and social events are also offered. Docents work twice a month for two to four hours.

Volunteers are also needed to work in the gift shop. For more information, call Donna Lemkin at (310) 456-1517.

+Westlake Village/Agoura Meals on Wheels seek volunteer drivers to deliver nutritious meals to community residents that are temporarily or permanently homebound. Drivers are need who can deliver meals to residents of Westlake Village, Agoura Hills and Oak Park one day a week or serve as a substitute driver on a less frequent schedule.

A hot midday meal and a cold evening meal are delivered from the East Campus of the Los Robles Medical Center between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. every weekday, except for major holidays.

+The American Red Cross of Ventura County presents Red Cross Volunteer Job Fair 2007 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sat., April 14 at the Pleasant Valley Community Center, 1605 E. Burnley St., Camarillo. Participants may learn about a variety of opportunities available and meet other volunteers. For more information, call (805) 339-2334.
