Words, Wit and Wisdom lunch slated

The Brandeis University National Women's Committee San Fernando Valley Chapter will host its 18th annual Words, Wit and Wisdom luncheon from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mon., April 16 at the Skirball Cultural Center, 2701 Sepulveda Blvd., Los Angeles.

The seminar will feature Jonathan Kirsch, author of "A History of the End of the World"; Rochelle Krich, crime fiction author of "Bitter Waters"; John Rich, who wrote "Warm Up the Snake"; Elizabeth Rosner, author of "Speed of Light"; and UCLA professor of creative writing, novelist Carolyn See, "Making a Literary Life."

The moderator will be Barbara Fein, vice president of risk management for national corporations and president of the Risk Management Society.

Lunch is $75 per person, $30 of which is tax deductible. Menu choices are poached salmon or fruit plate with cottage cheese.

Proceeds will benefit the committee's Science for Life Campaign for Neurodegenerative Diseases.
