Learn to cope with grief

Castle Hill Retirement Village will host the 14th annual national Bereavement Teleconference from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thurs., March 22 at 3575 N. Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks.

The conference explores how to live with grief before and after the death of a loved one. Attendees will learn approaches professional caregivers can use to help patients and families dealing with loss, strategies used at the moment of death to help survivors cope, how grief has changed over the past 20 years, results of research on the effectiveness of grief interventions and the current debate over a new diagnostic category for complicated grief.

There will be a panel discussion question-and-answer period after the teleconference.

Sponsored by TLC Home Hospice and Loving Heart Hospice Foundation, the conference is free and open to the public. Space is limited to 40 participants.

To register, call (805) 492-2471.
