Boys & Girls Club adds four board members

Four additional San Fernando Valley business and community leaders have been elected to the board of directors of the Boys & Girls Club of the West Valley, according to chairman Gary Thomas. The new board members are David Rainer, Brent Roberts, Sadaf Sehati and Gail Solomon.

Rainer is president and CEO of California United Bank in Encino. He is a former director of the Big Brothers of Greater Los Angeles, the Inner City Arts, Los Angeles Urban League and Junior Achievement of Southern California.

Roberts is a CPA and managing partner of Roberts Accounting in Woodland Hills. He is past president of the Chatsworth Chamber of Commerce and a member of the American Youth Soccer Organization board. He also serves on the board of Omeric Rehabilitation Inc., a nonprofit organization providing vocational rehabilitation to veterans.

Sehati is a biochemistry graduate student at UCLA and a parttime chemistry instructor at Pierce College. She has been involved with the Boys & Girls Club of the West Valley since its opening in 1995. She served as youth supervisor and later as education coordinator.

Solomon is cofounder of OnSite LaserMedic Corp. and has served as CEO and chair of the board since 1992. She is the Women's Business Enterprise National Council director of site qualifications in Southern California.
