School district seeks oversight committee members

The Oak Park Unified School District Board of Education is accepting applications for membership in the C6- School Safety, Equipment and Technology Improvement Bond Oversight Committee.

The committee will review projections and collections of C6 funding, twice yearly review of budgets, revenues and expenditures utilizing C6 funds.

Seven citizens will serve twoor three-year terms, with three members selected for two-year terms and four members selected for three-year terms initially.

The board will review the applications and select the members. Members may be reappointed at the boards' discretion.

The committee will meet twice each year- the first meeting before the annual budget adoption and the second in the fall after the First Interim Budget report. The committee will provide reports at least once per year at a regular board meeting.

Deadline for applications has been extended to March 12. Appointments will be made at a regular board meeting in March or April.

Applicants must be registered voters residing within the Oak Park Unified School District.
