Sad for Sunny Skies

I read with sadness that Sunny Skies Camp is losing its home. It would be a tragedy if our community lost this camp.

My children have so many special memories from spending their summers there. Besides making new friends, they had the chance to try things like horseback riding, archery and sleeping under the stars that they probably wouldn't have done until they were much older. We would plan our family vacations around their camp sessions.

The counselors were always well-trained and fun to be with. They make instant connections with their campers. My children always had exciting stories to share when they got home.

And I can't say enough about how wonderful Harold Gordon and his staff are. I was lucky to also know Harold as director of Sunny Skies Preschool. His nurturing nature, his genuine affection for children as well as his rapport with grown-ups made for a wonderful educational experience.

For the sake of so many children, I hope someone out there has land they can lease to Sunny Skies so they can continue to go on lion hunts- big African lion hunts. Jodi Regan Agoura Hills
