Films recognized for uplifting messages

Movieguide, in partnership with the John Templeton Foundation, recently hosted the 15th annual Faith & Values Awards Gala recently to honor films for their positive outlook.

The following films received awards: $50,000 Epiphany Prize for Film to "The Nativity Story," $50,000 Epiphany Prize for Television to "The Ten Commandments," The Libertas Award for Promoting Positive American Values went to the film "The Pursuit of Happyness," television's "Hidden Place."

Grace acting awards went to Oscar Isassc in "The Nativity Story" and Shirley Jones in "Hidden Place."

"Charlotte's Web" was the Top Family Film and "The Queen" earned Top Film for Mature Audiences.
