Spirit Award goes to Oak Park officer

Ventura County Supervisor Linda Parks presented the Oak Park Community Spirit commendation from the Ventura County Board of Supervisors to California Highway Patrol officer Randy Hosking at the Oak Park Municipal Advisory Council meeting last month.

"Serving as Oak Park's CHP Liaison Officer, officer Hosking is especially appreciated by residents for responding individually to every traffic concern conveyed to him by the public," said Parks.

"He encourages the public to report traffic violations and consistently follows up. . . . Residents of Oak Park express how pleased they are with the improved traffic safety brought about by his presence as a patrol officer," said Parks.

The community spirit award is presented to individuals to recognize outstanding contributions to the quality of life in Oak Park.
