Boys & Girls Clubs to honor youth
Youth of the Year to be named

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Conejo and Las Virgenes will honor one of their club members as 2006 Youth of the Year on Fri., March 9 at the Renaissance Hotel in Agoura Hills. During the year, club members are selected as Youths of the Month. The Youth of the Year is chosen by a panel of judges to recognizes academic performance, moral character, life goals, poise and speaking ability, and service to the club, community and family.

The 2005 Youth of the Year was Samantha Spencer, a member of the Los Cerritos Club.

Boys & Girls Clubs provide youths with leadership training, character development, fine arts, academic support and enrichment, technology, health and fitness.
