Sheriff's posse is coming
Volunteers invited to learn about equestrian involvement

The Los Angeles County Sheriff 's Department will host an informational recruiting meeting for those interested in volunteering for the department's mounted posse on Wed., March 7 at the Lost Hills Sheriff Station, 27050 Agoura Road.

The mounted posse is made up of reserve deputy sheriffs and volunteer equestrians.

The posse assists with searches in areas that are not accessible by cars, and it patrols parks, riverbeds, shopping center parking lots and rural mountain areas.
