Theater has become an election issue

One of the challengers in the upcoming Calabasas City Council election, Toby Keeler, claims to want to bring sound fiscal management to the city. But Mr. Keeler has for the last several years been advocating that the city should spend $10 million or more to build a community theater.

The new Civic Center will already provide space for small theater production. And we just passed a school bond that will build a new performing arts theater at Calabasas High School.

We don't need another theater paid for with public funds.

That's why I won't be supporting Mr. Keeler's election effort to get control of our tax dollars.
