Heschel school brings out clash of personalities

Mr. Crisafulli, I am sorry the issue of Agoura Village was not resolved to your satisfaction. But to attack two people and an entire community because of it is like the pot calling the kettle black.

I don't know Mr. Casey, but I have been acquainted with Larry Brown and some of his family for many years. I'll tell you this: while they reside in Agoura Hills, the Browns do not live in Old Agoura, nor do they have school age children any longer, nor will the traffic impact his home directly.

Larry Brown adamantly opposes the Heschel project because it is the wrong project in the wrong place. It is a stand on principle. He appreciates, and always has, what Old Agoura is. One of his daughters was actively involved in the equestrian lifestyle here for many years. Larry still enjoys his horses here. Every community should have a Larry Brown in their corner.

Now let me ask you the same thing. Where were you and your neighbors when Old Agoura needed support against something so wrong? How many of you and your neighbors enjoy the hiking, biking and riding trails of Chesebro Park? Do any of you realize the extent of the negative impact of this project?

I think not.

Do you honestly believe a "shelter-in-place" policy at Heschel in case of a fire will keep panicked parents from hindering community evacuation efforts? It didn't at A.E. Wright several years ago.

The community of Old Agoura, being first and foremost immediately affected by this awful project, would love the support of all the surrounding communities that come to enjoy the riding arena and parks in our fight against this. Instead of throwing insults at those that we feel could've done more, let us look at ourselves and see if someone can say the same about us.
