Local chiropractors selected for NFL duty

Dr. Terry Weyman and Dr. Ed Green of the Westlake Village-based Chiropractic Sports Institute were invited to speak to National Football League team doctors at the NFL's s c o u t i n g combine this week in Indianapolis.

The combine evaluates player abilities and medical condition in preparation for the upcoming NFL draft.

Weyman, a Newbury Park resident, was asked to educate team physicians about injury evaluation, performance enhancement and the use of cold lasers in tissue recovery. Green will speak about use of the EB, (energy balance) machine for post-surgical tissue recovery. "We have been using (cold laser and EB) for over six years and have set many of the protocols used, so it will be exciting to see the teams begin to use this technology," said Weyman, a nationally recognized expert on sports medicine.
