Student collects cellphones for Make-A-Wish

Lindsay Katz, 17, a junior at Calabasas High School, is collecting cellphones to help make wishes come true.

Katz organized "Cellphones 4 Wishes" as a community service project and will donate all the money received from recycling the phones to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The phones will be recycled through an organization called Phones 4 Charity.

There will be phone collection boxes in the Hidden Hills Community Center and City Hall offices. She will also pick up phones from homes or offices if requested.
