Foundation seeks trustee

The Community Foundation for Oak Park Board of Trustees is seeking a resident of Oak Park to fill a vacant position on the board. The board normally meets quarterly.

The foundation was founded in 1979 and supports volunteer efforts in the community as well as raising funds for community programs and projects. Most of the foundation's funds are spent in support of students in the Oak Park Unified School District. The foundation also hosts candidate forums for local elections.

Candidates should submit a letter of application to the foundation at P.O. Box 291, Agoura Hills, CA 91376-0291. The letter should mention any past civic service, qualifications and what contributions the candidate might make towards the governance and growth of the foundation.
