Orientation for Method Film Fest volunteers

A volunteers meeting for the ninth annual The Method Fest independent film festival is scheduled for 7 p.m. Wed., Feb. 21 at the Agoura Hills/Calabasas Community Center, 27040 Malibu Road.

Jerry Magel, volunteer coordinator, will conduct an orientation session for festival volunteers. Refreshments will be served.

The Method Fest, scheduled from March 29 to April 5 in Calabasas, is looking for volunteers to help with the planning and staging of the festival.

Volunteers are needed for a variety of administrative duties, including planning for special events and galas, acting and filmmaking workshops, panels, seminars and symposiums, hospitality, design, public relations and marketing.

During the festival, volunteers are also needed for to usher, for party planning, merchandise sales, box office, information booths, transportation coordination, the VIP/celebrity hospitality lounge.

The festival is also seeking volunteers with experience in booking talent and working with personal publicists.
