Author of biblical fiction to visit Beth Haverim

Israeli author Eva Etzioni-Halevy will sign her new biblical novel, "The Garden of Ruth," at 1:30 p.m. Sun., Feb. 11 at Temple Beth Haverim, 29900 Ladyface Court, Agoura Hills.

Inspired by the Book of Ruth, "The Garden of Ruth" tells the story of Osnath, who goes

lock the mysteries of future King David's greatgrandmother Ruth.

Etzioni-Halevy was born in Vienna, Austria. After spending the war years in Italy, both in an Italian concentration camp and in hiding, she and her parents moved to Palestine. She studied sociology at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and at Tel-Aviv University, where she earned a PhD.
