Race relations subject of talk

As part of the celebration of Black History Month, Gerald Horne, PhD, will discuss the past and future of race relations between African Americans and Latinos at 10 a.m. Fri., Feb. 9 at California Lutheran University in the Roth Nelson Room.

Horne will draw from his book "Black and Brown: African Americans and the Mexican Revolution, 1910-1920." Horne, the John and Rebecca Moores chair of history and African American studies at the University of Houston, is the author of 17 books and more than 100 scholarly articles. His research has addressed issues of race in a variety of settings.
