Jewish Genealogists to meet

The Jewish Genealogical Society of the Conejo Valley and Ventura County will host a general meeting, co-sponsored with Temple Adat Elohim, 2 to 4 p.m. Sun., Feb. 11 at Temple Adat Elohim, 2420 E. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks.

The topic "Lesser Known Resources at the National Archives and Records Administration" will be discussed by Randy Thompson, archivist at the National Archives in Laguna Niguel, Calif.

Thompson will provide an introduction to some littleknown genealogical resources available at the archives, including immigration records, federal court records and a variety of records created by the military.

Thompson has worked for the National Archives and Records Administration-Pacific Region since 1995.

There is no charge to attend the meeting. Anyone may join the society. Annual dues are $25 for an individual and $30 for a family.
